For tactical and gun rooms, Snake River Hardwoods supplies the wood: concealment-grade paneling in solid hardwood or textured veneer, heavy-duty shelving stock, and matched millwork from its Rigby, Idaho mill. Concealed entry doors and concealment furniture come through parent company Murphy Door®, which manufactures hidden doors, secret rooms, and panic rooms in the United States.

The room

Concealment is a woodworking discipline.

A gun room done right has two jobs: secure what’s inside and be invisible from outside. The second job belongs to the wood. The entry reads as a bookcase, a paneled wall, or a cabinet run, and it only fools anyone if the wood on the door matches the wood around it in species, texture, and finish. That match is trivial when one mill cuts both, and nearly impossible when a safe company, a cabinet shop, and a trim supplier each ship their own idea of walnut.

Murphy Door® has manufactured hidden doors, secret rooms, and panic rooms in America since 2012. Snake River Hardwoods is the hardwood arm of that operation, which means the concealment story and the material story finally come from the same place.

What we supply

Paneling, shelving, and the match that sells the disguise.

Solid hardwood and textured veneer for the room and the concealing wall, raw or finished at the mill so your builder can match an existing run. Shelf stock through Ultra Shelf with Studlock brackets rated 50 pounds per stud, because gear is heavy and a sagging shelf gives a room away. Edgebanding textured to match on every visible edge. The concealed doors and concealment furniture themselves come through Murphy Door®, engineered and built in-house down to the hinge.

How it orders

Quiet, direct, to your spec.

Start with the sample kit, $25 plus shipping, or call the mill at 1-208-722-2455. Builders and outfitters get trade pricing at time of order. Material ships to all 50 states, and nothing about the packaging announces what the room is for.
