A Murphy Door® company

Hardwood Milled in the Rockies. Shipped to Every State.

Snake River Hardwoods runs out of Rigby, Idaho, on the banks of the Snake River. That’s where the wood gets milled, textured, and finished. It’s not where we stop. We supply architects, designers, builders, and homeowners across the country, and the mountain water and hard winters that shape this valley are part of why the wood holds up wherever it ends up.

Solid & textured supply

Custom Hardwoods & T3D

Solid hardwood and hardwood veneer, textured or straight, purchased by the board foot and milled to your spec. T3D is our texturing technology: real cross-scoring worked into solid hardwood, veneer, and edgebanding to match, not a printed pattern laid on top. Raw and ready to finish, or prefinished, stained, and painted, your call.

Shelves, mantels & hardware

Ultra Shelf

Floating shelves, mantels, and the hardware that hangs them, built in solid hardwood or hardwood veneer depending on thickness. The Studlock Bracket System goes in fast and carries real weight. This is the line homeowners buy direct, and the one contractors spec by name.

Hidden doors, beds & furniture

Murphy Door® Family

Hidden doors, Murphy Beds, wall beds, and concealment furniture, all from the company that started this whole operation. Snake River Hardwoods is the material and manufacturing arm behind that family. We don’t sell their doors here, but the engineering story is one story.

We own the mill

Most suppliers resell. We mill it ourselves.

Most hardwood suppliers buy finished material and resell it. We buy timber by the board foot from trusted suppliers, then do the milling, texturing, sizing, and finishing ourselves at our own facility in Rigby, Idaho. A Heesemann machine does the cross-scoring and texturing. A custom five-axis BAACI mill, built to our own specs, sizes, drills, and textures multiple pieces at once on a single line. That’s the short version. Here’s the rest of it.

The company behind the doors

You have seen this work. You just did not see the door.

Snake River Hardwoods is the hardwood and manufacturing arm of Murphy Door®, the company whose hidden door systems stand in Daymond John’s Shark Art Studio in Miami, the homes of Terrell Owens and Frankie Muniz, Patrick Bet-David’s Board Room, and the John Wick Experience at AREA15 in Las Vegas, where Lionsgate’s Gene Rogers credited the doors with the experience’s “mysterious energy.” Residential estates, commercial showrooms, entertainment spaces. Same company, same engineering, and the wood now comes off our own floor in Rigby, Idaho.

Vaultwood Core™ is not part of this family. It is a third-party engineered material standard, not a Murphy Door® company, that we spec and use as the core substrate under some of our engineered veneer products. Full detail under Craftsmanship or at vaultwoodcore.com.
